The annual report on the year's proceedings was read, as follows: "In presenting this, our annual report, we acknowledge God's goodness to us as an association, and gratefully tender out united thanks to our fellow citizens for (heir many acts of kindness, thought and self. Not much of striking interest has occurred through the winter session to call for special comment, with the exception of tin l slump in gymnastic exercises, which has |heen most discouraging to Messrs R. Herd and S. Jones after all their selfdenying efforts, and it is seriously thought by the committee that next winter this particular brand; will he discontinued. The memory division has certainly been a success. ami the proverbs learnf should be very beneficial to the lads in Infer life. Through sickness and other causes flic general average dropped considerably.

about half way through the session one lad (.Kingdon) being laid aside for months by a knee injury; the rest were alTected by measles more or less, in September. The committee d>sfres to thank donors of medals and books: 31 r F. O. Smith, for a ping-pong table : the speakers (101 to dale), local press for valuable aid, lanlernists honorary instructors, also Miss and Mr Peter Stewart for coaching the draught competitors on how to eat cake and drink rich cocoa. The greatest loss that has by the superintendent (Mr Gibson) has been a regular and active secretary, which means so much to a work like this. The one now in office has been

so much away in the country that the superintendent has had many weary miles id' lonesome biking just to do routine work."
