As previously mentioned, there lire several wayside stations at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which eater lor their towns, and mav then work out, from the figures, the time which the train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. I lie Auckland express reaches Pa]merston from the North, at r-3.-l() p.iiL, and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thorndon at 12.15 p.m. and reaches Palnierston at o.'i;) p.m. The extra Auckland express commenced Ist October.
