ADDING TON MARKET
I [I'Kll PIIESS ASSOCIATION.] - Christ-church, October S. At Ad din gt on live stock market to-day there wore moderate entries of stock except in fat cattle and fat j lambs, which formed large yardn ings. There was a fair attendance ' of buyers. Beef was easier by 2s ' per 1001b., and there was also a considerable drop in the price of fat lambs. Very little business was done in store sheep, on ae- , count of the high reserves. Eat j. sheep were firmer, bacon pigs sold at last week's high rates, and porj leers were still dearer. Store Sheep.—Prices ruled up to about the level of recent sales, but in most instances the reserves _ fixed by sellers were about on a l par with current sales, with the _ result that a number of lines were passed. Sales included 13 hoggets at 22s 3d and 18 ewe hoggets at 20s 9d. I*at lambs. Best sorts 17, i (id io 20s (id, lighter 1 -is (id to I(is (id.
