Eoxton Bowling Club opened its green yesterday, and a team from Levin went over to participate in the games. Teams were picked by the president and vic-president of the club, .and in the aggregate of games the vice-presidential men won by four points. Levin's rink (Lancaster, Haswell, Reading and Gl'over) won their game. The Levin Coronation Swimming' Baths will be open to the public on Wednesday next, the I.sth October, 1913. Season tickets will be issued on the same terms as last year and the hours last season will be observed this season. The Maori representatives of the Horowhenua County were at Hawera yesterday, when they met and defeated the Taranaki Maori representtives. Details of the game will be published to-morrow. Levin Coronation Swimming Club holds its annual general meeting this evening (Thursday) in "Williams's tea rooms, Oxford street.
