A SUGGESTION
(To the Editor.) Sir, Levin, wifh its parks, lake and central position, is an Kleal place for a sporting centre. \Vhy not use all these advantages and be the first in New Zealand to form an Olympic: , It would make our town popular and add io iis prosperity. I propose that all athletics and sporting clubs appoint a delegate to attend a couI'orouco, with the purpose of forming a union to be called the Levin Olympic. All clubs contribute to a general fund, for expenses and prizes that an annual four days' Olympiad or Sporting Carnival be lield as follows: First day, athlelics; second day, hippie'; third day, motor and cycling races; fourth day, aquatic, m the evening singing and elocutionary competitions, picture show, dance, and distribution of trophies and prize money. Very attractive .programmes could lie arranged by a competent committee. 1 invite all those interested in the progress of our town to express their opinion, make suggestions, or ask questions on the above scheme.— Yours, etc., M. EOSELLA, Levin, '2\u\ October. 191-'!.
