Additional entries are advertised by Messrs Abraham and \\ it lii'ins, Ltd., and Dalgcty and r ~ Ltd., for their Otnki stock sales.

Realising the possibilities of .optometry, a science yet in its infancy as a profession, and the shocking neglect of the eyesight by a good many people, attntion is directed to the advertisement of Mr John Hislop, Opt. I)., appearing in to-day's Chronicle. Tt goes without saying that people who suffer from eyestrain, defective vision, ocular headaches, etc..

should place themselves in thv hands of a qualified optician - one who is thoroughly versed in the science of optics and reflection;. as it may be applied in the detection and correction of refractive errors, muscular insufficiencies, and the ultimate adjustment of glasses. For the past twelve years Mr Hislop has been in charge of the- oldest established and one, of the most reputable optical firms in the Dominion, established in Duncdin by his late father, over fifty years ago. In this capacity he has supplied the optical* work for tht- Dunedin Hostntal. and some of the leading oculists of the Dominion. Intending patients are recommended to make appointments with Mr Keedwell, chemist, Levin, at whoso rooms Mr Hislop will be practicing during his visit to Levin.
