St. Mary's Sunday School Levin
The annual prize giving took place on "Wednesday last. Tl.it' children assembled at four o'clock and thoroughly * enjoyed I hemselves with various games until time for lea, which was provided by the teachers in the Churchroom. After dark the Yicar showed them a number of sacred and secular pictures by means of his lantern. The next item on the programme was the prize giving. The following are the names of those who had obtained the highest marks in their respective classes:—
Senior Girls.- -Nellie Snell Ist prize; Lindsay Hooper, 2nd prize: Marjorie Malcolm, 3rd prize.
Second Class Girls. -Alice Hooper, Ist prize: Nina Proctor, 2nd prize ; Beulah Burt, 3rd prize. Third Class Girls.— Valrie Hislop, Ist prize: Lynette Hislop. 2nd prize: Carita Gapper, ; >rd prize. Senior Boys.— Fred. Howell. Ist prize: -Tack Snell, 2nd prize; Tiedvers Snell, 3rd prize.
Second Class Boys. Geoffrey Gapper, Ist prize: James Taylor, 2nd prize: Donald Tborlnirn, 3rd prize.
Second Class Boys.- -Estevan Gapper, Ist prize : Neville Collier, 2nd prize: John Skelly, 3rd prize: Roy Stock well, 4th prize.
Before the children dispersed, they gave three cheers for their teachers and three for the Yicar.
