Employees at the Co-operative Society's stores still are out. The Bakers' Society bakery resumed, but members of the Barrier Labour federation visited the bakery, and operations then ceased. Brisbane, 'l'Liis Day. Ernest Austin has been found guilty of murder and sentenced to death. Hobart, This Day. A young man named Affred Britton reported to the police thatwhile he and another young man named Charles Jones were hunting at Mount Faulkner on Wednesday, Jones accidentally shot himself. Britton now has confessed that he shot Jones. He stated that after hunting all the morning they made another start in the afternoon. A dispute arose about who should use a doublebarrelled gun. Jones clicked the hammer of the gun at Britain, and the latter pointed his gun and pulled the trigger. Jones fell dead. Britton declares he did not kuow the gun was loaded. Fremantle, This Day.
