Japanese onions are on the market, and have landed u excellent condition. The market, for dead pigs has received a seve ,, set-back on account of recent published statements that pigs with out inspection were finding their way into consumption in the citv. We are of the opinion that the'e arc no grounds for such assertion, and (hat a wrong has been done so both the producers and the trado. Values to-day show a marked decline, and the demand is as dull as it was brisk a week or so ago Eggs are in fair demand. Poul try. good enquiry. Grain l*quiet, and chaff in fair sale. Grass seed and seed oats are in excellent ! demand.
Fruit.- Both apples ana pears are in short supply, and very high values are being realised.
