A met*ting of represeutalives from various dairy companies in iho surrounding districts was held at Palmerston on Saturday afternoon to consider the question, of starting a large cooperative concern amongst the dairy farmers in New Zealand, and also to obtain supplies of all kinds, and also with the object of handling* their own produce at Home. One of the proposals before the meeting was to have a controlling board for New Zealand at Home, and advisory board in New Zealand. ..-'Similar proposals to those submitted, to the meeTmg will be put before all the dairy companies of the dominion with a view to receiving their opinions. The lons of the nier-limr at Palmerston was sympathetic, reports the Manawatu Times.
