Mrs Hobcrison will present the medals won in the children's classes on the night of the concert following the competitions. There are now three resi- C dents of Shannon under treatment in the Otaki Hospital: Mr Forbes, who sustained a compound fracture of the leg at football, Mr liuehinan, who broke his leg while running to :i fire, and is making slow progress towards recovery, and Mr Denton, who was formerly in Mr Uoultbee's chemist's shop, whose health had been failing him for some time past. 11 is stated that another hall will be erected in opposition to I lie Druids' llall, by Mr 1\ ('ill. in Ballance street.
