The sub-divisional sale"'of the well-known Baliiko Estate which was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Town Hall, created a great amount of interest, and was attended by a very large number of intending purchasers and interested spectators. Ihe estate belonging to Messrs Monekton and Addington, comprises some 1010 acres ol (irsl-class land situated on (he west of the main road between Olaki and Te iloro, while I he greater perl ion of the property is within a mile of the Otaki ra !--ay static:;, butter and cheese factories, and creamcry. Bidding was slow, and only two section were disposed of under the hammer. Section <S, 20a 2r -72p was bought by Mr W. .Baker, at i'2o lOs per aero. Mr George Taylor purchased Section M'o. 0, T()a lr : 57p, at ■i'-'!2 His per acre. Then ■ were many prospective buyers present, and it i.s highly probable that many section will he disposed of immediately.Otaki Mail.
