WAIJKANAE STOCK SALE

Messrs- Dalgcty anil Co. Lid. report as follows on their Waikanae sale held on Tuesday. On account of the very wet day the stock did not come forward up to advertised numbers, but we submitted a fairly large yarding of sheep and cattlc to a good attendance of buyers. All classes of sheep met with a very keen competition and we disposed of all lines. Cattle met a rather dragging sale, but we quitted a fair number under the hammer. We quote the following prices:- Lambs 7 s lid to 13s Oil, 2 and 4-tooth wethers to 17s Gd, weaners 37s to ,£2 2s 0(3, 2i-year steers to £5, springing heifers to £(> 15s, springing cows to £8 10s, bulls £3 to £4 10s.
