# The Hon. W. F. Massey. Prime Minister, has received the following comunieation from His Ex«c)le»e v r Lord Liverpool:—"l have thifi morning (July 12th) received the following telegram from the Secretary of State for tho Colonies: '1 hevo laid before the King your telegram of Juno 30th, from which Hie Majesty has learned with great satisfaction the exemplary conduct of the men or H.M.S. New Zealand whilo in the waters of tho Dominion. Hie slajesty commands 1110 to take- tho opportunity of expressing his deep interest in the people of Sew Zealand, and hi.s appreciation of their generosity in presenting tho New Zealand to His Majesty's Navy for tho defonco of the Empire, and his gratification that tho manner in which their splendid gift is being utilised meets with their approval. , "
