Tim 'International Institute of Agriculture lias ju.st published tli-e -May number of its Bulletin of Agricultural Statistics. Tlio Bulletin gives the data concerning the areas sown under cereal crops in tlio most important countries. Tli-eso crops, as .a whole, are in good condition and have only suffered very slight damage from the frosts which occurred almost everywhere in Europe during the month of April. Those samefrosts caused very little damage to the vines in Spain and Italy, wliilst the vines in Hungary seem to haw suffered considerably. The Sericultural Campaign is running a regula: course, although perhaps a little behindhand. A general diminution is. however, noticed in the .amount ol silk-worm eggs placed to be hatched. Til is is clearly shown in regard to the figures for .Japan, in which country 45)2,000 hectogrammes of eggs were hatched for the production of spring cocoons Against •">20.829 during the. spring of 1912. Information concerning the flax, sugar-beet, sug-ar-cane .md tobacco crops in the Northern Hemisphere 'follows. The latter part of the Bulletin contains tables furnishing the figures of the imports and exports, and supplies of cereal and cotton in the various countries, as well as the prices of these products at the principal markets of the world. —WaWHWHff—OBBB
