LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO • STRIKE RATES. For tbo Period irom the let April, l'Jlb, co the 81st March, 1914. PUBLIC NOTICE is Tiereby given (L) That in accordance with the provisions of Section 78 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," it is tho intention of tho Levin Borough Council at the Ordinary Meeting to be held on Monday, tho 21st dny of July, 1913, to strike a GENERAL RATE of lid in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable property in tho Borough of Levin, the samo to become duo and payable in one instalment 011 the Ist day of August, 1913; (2) And further, to 111 alio a WATER RATE (ordinary supply) under the provisions of Section 83 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," as follows:— On all lands and buildings used as dwel-ling-houses in the Borough of Levin to which water is supplied, (a) where tho annual rateable value on tho Valuation Roll does not exceed £12 10s per annum, a rate of 10s; (b) whore 6uch annual rateable valuo exceeds £12 10s, a rate of £7 per ccnt. 011 the first £100 of such valuo and a rato of £1 per cent. 011 so much of such valuo as exceeds £100. One-half of tho respective Water Rates moutoined above on all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied situate within 100 yards of any part of the Waterworks, and 011 all buildings used as stores or warehouses or for any purpose other than dwelling-houses; and further, that the said Water Kates shall beconio due and payable in two equal instalments o'n tho Ist day of August and tlio Ist day of November, 1913.
