I PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Foxton Harbour Board ( proposes to introduce into the Gen- j oral Assembly in the forthcoming (Session of Parliament a Bill to effect the following objects:— 1. To authorise the Foxton Harbour Board to borrow tiny sum or sums not exceeding Twe.uty thousand pounds (£20,000) of which the 1 annuatcharges for interest and sinking lund shall not exceed Six pounds (£0) per centum per annum for the ( purpose of purchasing the Fox toil Wharf appurtenances and revenue, erecting necessary buildings and renewing portions of tile wharf, or in the altci native any sum or sums not exceeding Ten thousand pounds (£10,000) for erecting a new Wharf and providing all necessary accommodation in connection therewith, the Loan in either case to be secured upon the property and revenues'of the Board suul also to be secure by annual contributions to be apportioned by the Governor be- i tween the Boroughs of Pahncrston i 'North, Feilding, Foxton and Levin, ' and the Counties of Manawatu and t Kairanga, with a proviso that pay- < ment of such contributions shall not < be required except in so far as the | funds and revenue of tlio Board i shall be insullieient to meet the annual charges including sinking (mid on the lean after payment ol i the ordinary annual expenses of the : Board. I 2. To empower the Foxton Har- I bour Board to acquire the Foxton « Wharf with the consont of the Gov- I ernor in Council, and erect buildings 1 and renew portions of the Wharf, i or t-o erect any new Wharf and buildings nmd provide accommodation in connection with it. 3. To creato a district to bo call- < ed "The Foxton Harbour District.' ( consisting of the Boroughs of Feild- ■ ing, Palmerston North. Foxton and Levin, and the Counties of .Malta- 1 watu and Kairanga. 4. To provide for the opportioning between the several Counties and Boroughs in the District constituted as above mentioned, the contributors required from the said Counties ■ and Boroughs to secure the annual charges. including interest and sinking -fund on the said loan. o. To empower the Board to recover from the local authorities of the Comities and Boroughs iu the District the contributions allocated to such c(Hinties and boroughs respectively or the proportions of such contributions which may be needed to make up for any deficiency in the funds and revenue of the Board in payment of the annual charges including sinking fund on the loan. 0. To empower the Board to appoint agents to raise the loan. 7. To increase the membership ol the Board by providing that an additional member of the Board shall be elected by the electors of the County of Kairanga, and the mode of election, a!nd without affecting anything done previous lo (he appointment of such new member.
