The potato market ie »till keeping firm, and the supplies are readily ohsorbed. Growers will, however, b« , wiee to forward their holding« with 1 as little delay as possible, as there is every prospect of the present prices coming hack, and throughout the country there is omple supplies t for the season. Seed potatoes are selling freely, and the quality offering this year is decidedly good. Dead pigs continue in exceptional demand. Eggs are wanted in larger quantities. Poultry continues to find excellent 6ale, especially turkeys, which are higher in value than for many years past. Grain is very quiet, but chaff is in very fair sale, and straw and hay especially enquirI ed for. i Fruit.—Apples have advanced and j the demand for all fruits is very sat--1 isfactory, with supplies insufficient 1 for the requirements of the trade, especially pears. 1 Vegetables.—Cabbage and cauli--1 flower, excellent demand.
