REPLY TO "POLITICS ONLY."

(To tho Editor) Sir,—This letter from mo to you it not argument. But it is truth. So let it pass. Let mo say that for unabated claptrap your correspondent "Politics Only" stands by himself. His ''facts" arc falsehoods; his deductions absurd; his contentions farcical. If the calibre of "his" remarks is tho test, he should be the last to cry out in favour of drink. He says "God put drink on tho earth; so why abolish it?" Doesn't the same remark apply to katipoes and rattlesnakes?— Yours, etc., ANTI CLAPTRAP.
