Mr .Justico Chapman occupied the Supreme Court bench here to-day, when hearing was commenced of the civil action, New Zealand Picture Supplies Company v. Thompson and Payne, a claim for £193 9s 9d in respect of postage on films and £5273 6s 8d damages in respect of alleged breach of contract. The statement claim set out that delendants agreed to tako supplies of films from the plaintiffs for their Napier and Masterton houses, at £25 and £10 per night respectively, the contract being binding for tlireo years. At a representative meeting ol dairymen, addressed by Mr W. D. Lysnar last nigh, the following resolution was moved by Mi 1 A. E. Washer, a director of the Allan Dairy Company, seconded by Air Powdrell. Chairman of Directors of the Kaupo kouui Dairy Company and tho Pater. Freezing Works, and carried: "That in view of the very unsatisfactory results regarding the handling and marketing of our dairy produce through London, this meeting recommends the dairy factories to utilise the proposed Bristol and Dominion Producers' Association for receiving and marketing produce in England on lines suggested, and give it our practical support by each individual factory taking a few shares in the Association."
