Tho death ocurred this aftoruoon of-Mr D. Hannan, who has beeu in 31 health for some months past. Demised was a settlor of long-standing in Levin, and had been identified .with its-public life for a long term of years. For several years he was the proprietor of the Levin Hotel, and after lie sold out of it he entered into pastoral pursuits in Levin, in whioli he continued until his death. He was a member of the Levin Borough Council for the last five years.
