NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' COOPEIIATIVE DISTRIBUT r\G • CO./LTD. WEEKLY REPORT. (Special to The Horowheuua Chronicle.) WELLINGTON, June 5. Wo liavo a further weakening to report with regard to the potato market. The market is evenly supplied, but any largo increase in coming in would weaken the position still further. Australian onions are nou coming to liand. and are preferred to locals. Dead pigs are in ready demand, to-day's sales showing Jd advance on porkers, which are now selling freely at (ijd per lb, and the market is not sufficiently supplied. Fresh eggs are in fair sale, and preserved lines are scarce, and have now advanced to Is Gd, at which figure all holders should sell without de,lay. There is very little alteration- to .report in the grain and cliaff market, a very quiet tone prevailing. Cheese is very dull of sale, owing to retailors being under contracts at recent higher values. Poultry of good quality is in specially good demand, and turkeys have sold during the week at high prices. We can strongly recommend shipments of good class poultry.
