Some time back attention was called to the dangerous practise wf motor cyclists carrying a passenger astride the back wheel. At a fair pace 011 a straight road, the extra weight over tho hack wheel has no appreciable effcct on the control and steoring of a motor cycle, hut in traffic, or in a oase of emergency. when quick action is essential, the extra ten or eleven stone on the back wheel certainly makes the heavy maclifne more unweildly, and more difficult to handle. This is :i matter that certainly requires th' attention of tho proper Authorities.
