1 — NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' COOPERATIVE DISTRIBUTING CO., LTD. WEEKLY REPORT. (Special to The Horowhemia Chronicle.) WELLINGTON, May 3«J. The potato market continues to be somewhat low, fairly large shipments arriving from the south. Prices are about the same as last week, and there is little prospect of their hardening for a while, as practically no export business is being done, growers in the south preferring to pit their crops rather than sell at the prices offering. Enquiries for seed lines continue to come in, hut there are not very many lines offering as vet. The quality promises to bo good. Onions are still firm, with <1 fair deniiand forward. Dead pig; continue to find an eager market, and prices will probably advance shortly. Fresh eggs are in moderate demand, while preserved find a ready sale, and larger quantities could be disposed of. Australian pollard is meeting with a fair demand. Oats show little change, being, if anything, slightly weaker, but wheat shows no alteration. Chaff is firm, with better offerings. Fruit.—Roth dessert and cooking apples are bought up readily, the market being in short, supply. Pears are also in short supply, and should realise very good prices al the present.
