The Mawke's Hay Rugby Union was desirous of arranging ia representative match with Horowhcnua, to be played next Tuesday (King's Birthday). Half the net proceeds of the match were offered, but on account of the short notice given the local union was unable to accept the preferred match. llangitikei sub-union is desirous o( arranging a representative football match against Horowhcnua Rugby Union. A letter conveying this information was rend to the management committee of the Horowhcnua Rugby Union last night. To-morrow (Friday) evening a debate will take place amongst members of Levin Debating Society on the subject. "Is the present system of education tor women on sound lines."
