Messrs iSamuel Peach and Sons, manufacturers of lace and curtains, are well-known to most Nottinghamshire people. Theirs is an old-estab-lished business, which has always been conducted witli ability and success. Not the least important branch of Peach's enterprise is that associated with their operations in these islands. They have, for years dispatched bargain-packages of curtains to all parts of tlie world. In this issue appears an advertisement enumerating the contents of theii '"record curtain parcel," which reaches the purchaser duty and postpaid. for an outlay of 27s 6d only. Messrs Samuel Peach and Sons particularly ask that the public shall write for their catalogue, which is full of now ideas in respect to domestic decorations and-in regard to •all sorts of household requisites. Fuller particulars are advertised to-day regarding the clearing sale ol sheep, cattle and household furniture to be held at Manakau. next Friday. on behalf of Mr J. W. Hildreth, by Abraham and Williams, Ltd. '"The hall is first. Mako it .best." So runs the heading of the replace advertisement to-day of Harvey and Co., in advertising their hall furniture on page 4. Interesting details about new books are advertised to-day by Mi •J. W. Thompson, bookseller, Levin. -Mr H. Leger advertises for a steady boy to work on his poultry farm. This is an excollent opportunity for an intelligent boy to learn from an expert.
