HOCKEY.
A meeting of the executivo committee of the Horowhenua Hockey Association was held in Loviu last night. The members present wore 'Messrs J. Bovis (chairman), W. Ijroughton, 11. S. Horn, E. W. JSmith land C. Judd. A letter was received from Mr Mark Downes, asking if he might be enlisted as a referoo. His offer was accepted -with thanks. The secretary of the Ohaii Ladies Hockey Club asked that they might name tho Ohau A hulk's' team Olwiu Ladies' Hockey Clu'b, as the former would affect their chance for the Brown Banner. Their request was granted.
A report was received from the referee in the Shannon v. Moutoa match. In the report he mentioned that one regrettable incident occurred during the game whereby a Moutoa player hnd to be ordered off the field.
It was decided that the matter be left over, and that the offender In asked to attend the next meet ing of the Association, to allow him to make explanation of liis behaviour at Shannon. In the meantime he i. , to bo suspended.
A letter was received from the Wellington Hockey Club, asking that this Association send two hockey teams to play their club in Wellington on the 3rd of June. The Association decided that their secretary write and inform Wellington that two teams would be son I.
Tt was also further decided that all players picked to travel to Wellington must pay their own expenses.
With a viow to getting a more representative gathering of the management Committee, it was resolved that the secretary write to the Now Zealand Hockey Association, asking them for advice on whether it would lie right to allow members of the management committee not living at Levin their expenses.

Tho game was played on the Lovin recreation ground, tho form showing a decided improvement on lust week's play the backs especially playing well. Tho game itself was one of tho most evenly-contested seen in tho district for some time. The first spell tho score- was two in favour of Levin. A.. Smart and J. S'cinscia did the scoric g. The second spell was much mono exciting. To lloro scoring four goals to Levins three. Wininta, .Melndoe and SmaiL getting these. Spires and Nnughton did all the goal getting for To Horo. Mr 15. S. Horn held tho whistle. Levin ]J v. Kahui. This match was pinyed at Otaki. and after a lunrd lOngJit game Rahui were victorious by four goals to two. The game was inrorestiug throughout, with Ruhui having a little the best of the gnmo. The local boy? played well, and with :i little more practice they will lie hard to beat. For Rahui IVtehiu and AY. Thompson scored two goals each, while Levin's goals were scored by H. McDonald and V. Lloyd. LAD I I<lS' MATCHES'. Ohau A (i>) v. High School (0). Oliau had slightly tho better of the game tlirongoiit, and finally won by two goals to nil. For Ohau Mrs Ropata and Miss AVilson were tin. scorers. Ohau B v. Otaki. 'I'hc game was played ut Otaki, and resulted in Ohau's rnitos defeating Otaki by three to nil. Miss Rawiri scored the lot. Mr M. Wehipihana referred.
