Some alleged sportsman has been doing mischief on Mr I). Hannan's property near the Avenue. Levin, and as & result Mr Hannan advertises to-day that all trespassers on any of his properties will be prosecuted without further notice. On Friday last a sheep was found that had been shot through the eye with a pea rifle. Tt evidently had been (lead some five or six days. Such wanton mischief is deplorable. The sheep was a purebred Romney from stock specially purchased for breeding pui-poses by Mr Hannon.
