With the utmost simplicity the funeral took place at Manchester on Saturday of a man who was once a king. H' died a corporation sanitary inspector. His name was Captain [ienry Nicholls. He *«s a Devon man by birth and had had an adventurous life on the high seas.

There was a Mivs Nicholls in England, so the captain renounced his kingdom and sailed away.
