This match was played at on Saturday, under ml verse conditions for good football. Kain commenced to fall an hour before the game started, and kept on praclic<illy the whole of the time. Though the ball was very greasy, the gronnu was in perfect order, being of a .sandy nature. There was a fairly large attendance of spectators. Owing to Mr Desmond not being .available, Mr ft. Smith controlled the game, and gave entire .satisfaction. Koputaroa won the toss, and Foxtou kicked ofT against a moderate breeze.
