Tin's match was played in pouring i'-:ii11. There wore a fair number of spectators present, liiiL the game proved poor and uninteresting. Kiniherley took the field with only 1:] moil, and later on one of their men was injured, leaving only twelve to finish the gamp. Kiinherley's forwards heat their opponents right, through, hut they were short in their hacks, and every time Tainui'.s bnoks got the ball they scored. Tainui put up nineteen points, Kimberloy not being able to register a point to their credit during the whole game. For Tainui Pirimi scored three trios, whiFe H. Kmwiri and Griffiths scored one each. Two of the tries were converted.
