Potatoes are in excellent demand and the niurkot is steadily supplied. Onions are slow of sale at advanced rates. Porkers are in excellent doniandj as also are chopers, baconere, and suckers. The market could absorb much larger supplies. l (1 resl) eggs are very scarce, and keenly enquired for, while preserved linee are inclined to bo easier. Wheat lias advanced. Oats are firm. Chaff unchanged. The winter season is bringing in a, demand for barley meal, of which considerable quantities have- been shipped during the last few weeks. Heavy bookings for present and forward delivery of slag and superphosphate are also taking place, in view of a possible rise in ocean freights shortly. We have a spclndid line of eouthern grown dressed Algerian seed oats to offer, and farmers would be well advised to secure their supplies early this season. Wo are prepared to book for forward delivery.

FRUTT.— Cooking apples hare taken a sharp rise, with keen deniiand ; dessert fair. Dessert pears arc freely enquired for, and early arrivals would meet good values. Quinces arc selling freely.
