RECREATION RESERVE,

At the invitation of the trustees

of the recreation reserve, representatives from the lootbalL cricket, and hockey clubs met in the Mechanics' Institute on Monday evening.

Mr T. Lind presided. He explained tlie conditions under which the grounds Mere allowed to be used liy tlie various clubs. The trustees were not greedy I'or money, but only wanted to treat all the clubs fairly. King and H. flraham, were constituted a committee to arrange lor a concert in a'Tordance with the chairman's suggest ion. The trustees decided to grant thf footballers permission to charge foi admission io grounds for five days 'luring the season, and reserved fiv* days for other clubs.
