New blood is in the Levin Borough Council, all three of the new aspirants to office having secured election through yesterday\s poll of the biirgissos. All three of thorn havo ffivVn clear indication of an ability to serve tho municipality faithfully ami well, hut none the less it is not (Hit of place ho re ti> express regret for the vanquished cx-councillors. Tor they Ikivc given the burgesses conscientious and good service in the pnst two years. Politics are a sec saw (both the State and the municipal brands) .and all those who follow them should go into the fray prepared fur the lips and downs. Tho burgesses of Levin yesterday were in tho happy position of being able to vote for iiiny possible, combination of nine from tht eleven candidates with the feeling that tho nine selected could do justice to tho borough's needs. So it may bo written with confidence that the new council is one that will .safeguard the borough interests, and one that will cover in its survey of the helpful avenues an arem not hounded by tho borough's statutory lines of dcMiiiaication.
