Tho market for potatoes has eased and stocks are alow with fair stocks held. Indications are that tliero 16 an average crop in the South, which will be available from now 011. Onions are coining in freely, and 110 further drop in values is expected. A further hardening of the pork market has taken place this week, and to-day's prices show an advance of from id to Jd against the increases of last week. We expect further advances onward, as the supply of pigs throughout the country is decidedly short. Fresh eggs have advanced, and a further rise is provable, tho market being under supplied. Preserved lines are also wanted. Thero has been a decided advance in the values of oats during the week, and largo sales have been made to the North Island, in anticipation of a further rise. Wheat is firm and fowl wheat will be scarce this year, as the ha vest of mostdistricts is well up to the milling standard.
