Onions arc coming to hand freely, and tho (southern shipments aro of good quality. The demand for all dead pigs has increased, and prices for porkers to-day show a rise of id per lb., with indication of a short supply. The marekt is under supplied, and much larger supplies could be dealt with. Poultry of good quality is in fair sale. Fresh eggs are very scarce, and a much larger supply is wanted. Cheese is unaltered, but separator and dair butter is firmer. There is a general hardening tendency with all grains. Oats have already advanced, and wheat is firm. All meals are in excellent demand. Chaff is steady. Any export in these lines would result in a sharp advance. FRUlT.—Apples, both dessert and cooking are arriving in fairly largo quantities, and prices are somewhat lower. Choice pears aro realising .splndid prices. Tomatoes ore in free sale. VEGETABLES.-All are in fair demand. Potatoes.—£6 to £7. Onions.—£s 10s to £6. French Beans.—ld per lb.
