Early this morning an outbreak of fire was discovered in tho bar of the Federal Hotel at Picfcon. Tho bar was completely gutted. The flames spread to the roof. ' A steel ceiling on the lower floor saved the upstairs portion from hf-ing burnt. The flames were subdued by the brigade. The damage is estfir>ated at 3J350. The building is owitt-d by Adams Bros., of Blenheim.
