An unfortunate, and painful occurrence at Weraroa on Tuesday resulted in a serious accident to Mr Hormbin. senior. He was driving at night when he encountered another trap, driven by Mr Winiata. and aa neither wa.s carrying lights the drivers 'were unable to see each other in time to avoid a collision. The shaft of Mr Winiata's trap went right through the collair of the horse in the other vehicle and caused such a jolting that Mr Horrohin was thrown out.
