TPHII PHK3'. ABSOrUTION.] BURNED TO DEATH. DUXEDI.V This Day. Thomas Moe. who was severely burned on Tuesday at the Catlins river railway construction works, died at the Diinedn Hospital at midnight. MINISTERS OX TOUR. STRATKORD. This Day. The Premier and the Minister of Public Works were accorded a very hearty reception here last night, when they were entertained by local bodies at a banquet, where speeches on lines similar to recent utterances made. The Premier remarked on the buoyancy of internal finance, and .stated that h'e hoped to be able to announce within a few weeks a very substantial surplus, though not quite so substantial a.s last surplus.
