A very appropriate programme of pictures (including several military .subjects) was shown at the Town Hall last night by Mr Bevan, in aid of a fund to start a cadet band. A capable orchestra played appropriate music throughout. Before the performance started, the cadets marched from Weraroa, headed by the Hoys' Training Farm band. The discipline displayed by the boys during the inarch, and also inside the hall, was excellent. Thero was a crowded audience, and Beyond this there wevo many purchasers of tickets (to help the hand fund) "who did not come to the hall; so the net result should be a substantial one that will ensure the hand's formation. Captain .Robinson (of the headcpiarters staff at Palmerston North) was in Levin for the parade.
