Onions iare now coming on the market t in fair quantities, with good demand for matured lots. Eggs have advanced 2d during tho week and are selling well. Pork is in excellent demand, and a much larger supply could bo taken. Wo have no improvement to report in cheese. Recent rains luivo caused a considerable number of grass seed' orders to come in, and this department of our business has been kept very busy. We cxpect seed peas of all varieties to he in good demand this year, owing to partial failure of Blenheim crops. Chaff is firm ; oats and wheat aro unchanged. FRUlT.—Choice dessert and cooking apples arc in good demand. Tomatoes are at bedrock, and realising nominial rates only. VEGETABLES.— Cucumbers arc plentiful and low in price.
