WEEKLY REPORT. (Special to tij Uorowhffliiua Qkro; icle). WELLINGTON, March 13. As anticipated in previous reports the potato market lias fallen, and .a further decline is likely. Inferior lines are hard to quit. A plentiful supply is in sight in the South Island, and the prospects of any export trado is this year remote. Onions tire now coming on the market in fair quantities, 'with good demand for matured lot«. Eggs have advanced 2d during the week and are selling well. Pork is in excellent demand, and a much larger supply could l)c taken. Wo have no improvement to report in cheese. Recent rains have caused a considerable number of grass seed orders to come in, and this department of our business lias been kept very busy. We expect -seed peas of nil varieties to be in good demand this year, owing to partial failure of Blenheim crops. Chaff is firm : oats and wlieat are unchanged. FRUIT. —Choice dessert and cooking apples are in good demand. Tomatoes are at bedrock, and realising nominal rates only. VEGETABLES.- Cucumbers are plentiful and low in price.
