Tho supply of potatoes has not been so good during tlie wok, aud higher rates have obtained. North Island growers are advised to send in their crops during the next few weekn as tho Son thorn supply promises well. There is a fair demand for good onions, and picklers also .sell well. Eggs aro steady at Is 4d, and the supply is regular. To-day's sales o fporkere resutled in a keen demand being exhibited at prices i per lb higher than last week. A much larger supply could bo dealt with. Suckers are eagerly bought up at 7£ —a high figure. Cheese is very dull of eale. Butter is in fair demand. There is very little movement in wheat or oats, but pollard has taken another rise, causing a better demand for barley and pea meals. Now chaff ie reaching the market regularly, and prices no far are very little under the old season's rates. * FRUIT.
