The Y.M.C.A. Campaign.
Tho four-day campaign for a hundred new members of the Y.M.C. A. was opened vigorously and successfully on Saturday. The national secretary, Mr Jameson, set tho mark of 25 for tho first day, but before night it becamo evident that this number would be greatly exceeded. The early hours of the evening found an excited and jubilant crowd- of members counting up the results for tho day. tip to almost the last minute the Blues (Captain Gray) were in the lead, but just at 8.30, the hour for closing the poll, the Reds (Captain Haste) snatched first place. The Greens (Captain H. Horrobin) ive expected to score heavily t</ ci ty and will doubtless make it interesting for the leaders. The scores are: Reds 20; Blue. 19; Green, 11. A largo number of campaigners were entertained at supper by Mr V G. Vincent. Class firing was carried out on Saturday by Levin Defence Rifle Clue at tho Gladstone road range. Some good scores were made. We know Warner's Rust-proof Corsete to be thoroughly reliable as regards 6hape, comfort and servicc —in fact, we are prepared to guarantee every pair not to rust, break or tear- Local drapers.— Advt.
