In connection with the explosion of a bomb at tho Hon. Mr LloydGoorge's unoccupied house at Walton-on-the-MilJ, tho first intimation «i anything untoward was when a gardener heard a terrific explosion at .six o'clock in the morning. It wrecked the upper portion and drove the window twenty-five yards. The perpetrators entered tho window about lour o'clock. One bomb was found in the bedroom and another ui the cupboard in fiie corridor. They comprised seven pounds of blac'c powder bound with a rope fuse. A piece of paraffined rag was connected with a candle, which was placed in .some paraffined shavings. The bombs Mere tuned to explode before the workmen appeared at 0.30 ami. The explosion in the bedroom blew out the candle of the second bomb. ••>omo paraffined p;ip t >r was distributed in the rooms. It ignited the underwood. Tho perpetrators motored towards London. The chief clue was the discovery of lvnir pins and hat pins. The police, who wo'\-> patrolling the adjoining golf links, inspected tho house at midnight. The house, which was nearly finished, will require a lot of rebuilding. The Hon. Mr Lloyd-George is on the Kiviera.
