CORRESPONDENT

* (Our correspondents' opinions aro their own; the responsibility of the editorial ones makes sufficient ballast for the Editor's shoulders.) DAIRY SCHOOL Oil COLLEGE. (To the Editor.) Sir,—This is a subject that cannot have too much publicity, and it' you wish Levin to gain the prize, then keep the subject well ventilated, and to the trout all the time. Personally. I have no hesitation in saying that there is no other place in the Wellington or Taranaki provinces that can come, anywhere near it. ram well acquainted with'most of the choice spots in the two provinces. and f have no hesitation in challenging any one to select a place equal to the Weraroa Kxperiniental Farm in the two provinces named. On previous occasions, through the press. T have stated that the Weraroa Farm was an ideal farm for the rearing of stud or pedigree stock. The soil, conditions, and surroundings are of such a nature that they make it impossible to surpass it for the purpose for which it is set asid.-* for. and under good management stock can he raised equal, if not bettor, than anything in the world, flave we all these gifts? Then whv should we allow them to be hidden under a bushel. If anyone in tlie world can help us now. it is our old and worthy friend. Mr W. If. Field, ns no one knows better than he does of what great, value the farm is to the district and dominion. We have gone into the question over and over again. Had it not been for the 'nfccrefit and part- that Mr Field and 1 took in urging tlie late Hon. R. .!. Soddon to set aside that piece ot ground MOO acres) for a Boys' Tnaining Farm, we would never have had la school there. Mr Field hacked mo up. and assisted with the minister from start to finish. The district is indebted to Mr Field for having the Roys' Training Farm established here, and T have no doubt be has the same weight to-day to carry his point for the estahlishmeit of a college liere. T hope these few lines will help you to conquer.— Yours, etc.. Thomas Walker.
