TO BEAUTIFY LEVIN
A most commendable ideal i.s thai of the Beautifying (Society for Levin and District. Tho community that endeavours steadily to brighten am! 'beautify the public and private places of its town and district must help vevy materially towards civic betterment uind aesthetic progress. To do effective work funds art 1 an essential. it i.s with this end in view that the floral fete and art un ion to be held to-morrow in Levin has been organised. A great deal of time and trouble and expense has been gone to by the committee of ladies and gentlemen which forms the executive head of the Levin and District Beautifying Society. Ii: the fruit of their endeavours i.s see a a most pleasing and attractive programme, and it remains now for th-i public of Levin and surrounding parts to show a proper appreciation of these endeavours. When a duty can bo performed as pleasantly as the one now under notice can be there is small likelihood of laxifv.
