♦ The Levin club played Kiinberlcy ou the oval at Levin on Saturday, and succeeded in beating thorn by an innings and seven runs. Levin won the toss and sent their opponents in to bat. Kitnberley tailed badly, Lloyd being their only batsman to make double iiguros. Neal and Broughtou bowled. Levin, on going in, began badly, but played better towards the close of the innings. Better and Neal made twenty each, but the other 'batsmen played indifferently. A negro lad absconded from tb r Boys' Training Farm this morning and the police are making inquiry for him. Two educational films are to bo shown at the King's Theatre this evening. They are entitled "Danish Dairy Farming 1 ' and "The Different C/lasseß of River Fish." Dramatio and comic subjects include a 3000 ft production, entitled "When Women Love." The performance will start punctually at 8 o'clock", ae the programme is a long one.
