Mr E. S. Lancaster, having decided to go in solely for brooding stud Jersey cattle, is disposing of the balance of his cows and heifers. These tare guaranteed sound, quiet and tractable---in excellent condition, and are being sold simply because they are not on the Jersey Stud Book. They will be submitted l>v public auction on Friday next, January 31.5 i., by Hitching.s llankins and Co., Ltd., Levin. Additional entries are advertised for Messrs Abraham and Williams' Otaki stock sale, to be hold on the -'.Kb January, 1913. M r.s Matthews, Cambridge street, has vacancies for pupils in music, both practical and theoretical. Terms may be had on application to Mrs Collier's. Cambridge street. Mr. A. .Dempsey, saddler. Levin, announces that he will make a f-pecial display of Knglish and Colonial .saddlery on the showgrounds next Wednesday. His stall is to !;i' near the lawn entrance, and he intonds to quote special prices for the occasion. Mr F. J. Glackin writes us that persons suffering from eye strain, etc.. will be pleased to hear that Levin is to the fore once .again, by the addition of thoroughly np-to-daie sight-testing rooms. All the hi lest instruments, etc., have been fitted up. and everything in the nature of optical goods is stocked also. Mr Glackin invites all local people who fear that their eyes are not quite as good as they should be, to call on him and have them examined and tested free of charge. The loser of a lady's handbag containing money advertiser for its recovery and offers a reward. Three-and-a-half acres of standing oats aro for .sale at Woraroa.
