BUT IT GETS DEA'IIER
Levin saddlers have been notified of yet another mo in the- price of .ill leathers. This is the third rise within a period of three months. Harness leather is now charged for at 2s 2d per lb. on rail at Wellington. Eight years ago th'o same quality of leather was sold at Is 5d per lb., with 5 per cent, discount in place of 2}d as at present. Basils, then 25s per dozen, arc now 435, and other leathers (brown) have risen from 21s than to 33s Bd now.
